I've really been wanting to create a new blog for awhile now, one that is full of crafty things, yummy things, and LOTS of pictures! I meant for my other blog to encompass both my creative and intellectual (ha!) musings, but it's basically turned into an online journal of sorts where I write anything and everything that God lays on my heart. That's not a bad thing at all, but I'd really like to share some of my ideas with you, my readers (if you happen to exist) and this will be a space to do just that.
Since graduating, I have baked more than I ever have and I'm realizing how much of a passion it is for me. I've really stretched myself since I've moved home and have baked things from tons of new recipes I've found but I've also begun to create my own recipes, which is really exciting! It's becoming a bit of a side business for me, and after thinking about a million different names, I think I've decided to go with "Sweet Dee's". It encompasses both my huge sweet tooth and penchant for baking decadent desserts, but it also caters to my love for baking healthy/vegetarian/vegan. I definitely need to hit up Vistaprint for some business cards ASAP. A future goal would be to start selling goods at local farmer's markets and then, maaaaybe someday I'll open my own bakery! I know, I know, that sounds super crazy & I realize it may never happen, but that's certainly a dream of my heart right now. It's a big idea, but I serve a God who's even bigger and if He wants it to happen, it will!
